Next meeting
The next stated meeting of Edenton Lodge #332 will be on January 21, 2023, at 7:00 PM. We will have a meal at 6:00 PM.
Edenton #332 Lodge Hall
December, 2018
We held the installation of officers at our stated meeting in December. The new officers are ready to have a good year in 2019. The lodge floor is almost finished with just the baseboards and some other finishing touches to be completed. Other than that we had very little business come up. Everyone have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
November, 2018
Attendance has been down some but we were able to have a successful election and the list of officers is on the right. Due to the lodge floor downstairs being in the middle of restoration the lodge will not have a Christmas party this year. Members are invited to Goshen Lodge on December 16 at 4:00 PM and celebrate with those brethren and their families. Going back to the floor, volunteers are needed to help with the work. The Worshipful Master and the Senior Warden were doing the majority of the work but both are fighting health issues and cannot do much right now. Also, the installation of officers will be held at our stated meeting in December. I hope you can be there. Worshipful Brother John McCollum just celebrated his 100th birthday. Congratulations go out to him. As some of may not have heard, Worshipful Brother Al Cloke passed away this month. The lodge has been collecting donations to help the family with funeral expenses and the brethren have been very generous. Thank you all. And remember, Dues Are Due. If you have not paid, please do so as soon as you can.
No Outdoor Degree in September
After visiting the outdoor site it was decided that the ground is too wet and too much work needs to happen for us to have the degree this year. See you at our regular meeting at 7 PM.
August, 2018
We lost a member to death this month, Raymond Gregston. He was the owner of Rothman's Hardware in Newtonsville. Though he did not attend a lot of meetings, he was a strong supporter of our lodge and he will be sorely missed. The lodge floor has finally been stabilized and is in the home stretch of being completed. Some of the damage discovered was worse than first thought and required some professional consultation. Some of the brethren got together and had a pancake breakfast at Stonelick Lake campground that raised some money for the lodge. They hope to have another on later this year. There is some degree work that still needs to happen this year so look for those. We will probably do one in September sometime. The Worshipful Master announced that there will be a Christmas party again this year. More details will be announced later. Our annual outdoor degree was discussed and a determination will be made abour whether to have it or not after the site has been visited. Keep your brethren in your prayers and come to a meeting when you can.
July, 2018
There were a lot of happenings that diverted my attention so I am really late with this update. Work was progressing on the lodge floor and should be wrapping up in the next couple of months. There was not a lot of other business discussed. I hope to see you at a meeting soon.
June, 2018
We had to meet at Goshen Lodge again due to the ongoing work on the floor at our lodge. It is progressing and should be done this summer. Thanks to the time and material donations we should not have to clean out our bank account. Goshen Lodge had a family picnic before our meeting and there was plenty of food. We appreciate the brethren of Goshen Lodge allowing us to use their lodge while we work on ours. For those that are interested Goshen Lodge is going to do a Master Mason degree on June 30 at 6:00 PM. They would appreciate all the help they can get. Have a good 4th and see you on the 21st of July.
MEETING TIME CHANGE
Meeting time has changed from 8:00 PM to 7:00 PM starting with the June stated meeting.
May, 2018
The lodge meeting for May mostly concerned regular business. There was a vote on the meeting time change and it passed. Having been approved by Grand Lodge our stated meetings will now start at 7:00 PM instead of 8:00 PM. The meeting night remains the same. Repair of the lodge floor is continuing and the brethren are making progress. We are hoping to be holding meetings in our own lodge hall soon. I will keep you posted. We are doing an Entered Apprentice degree at Goshen lodge on May 26 at 6:00 PM.
Lodge Hall repairs
As most of the brethren know the floor of the dining hall is in rough shape. The trustees, officers and brethren are in the process of seeing what can be done to repair the floor and make it safe for our meetings again. Below are pictures of the work. Hopefully repairs can be made quickly. I will keep you posted.
April, 2018
At our meeting we discussed some issues with the lodge hall. The floor downstairs is starting to get soft in places and the trustees are going to open up a hole to see what the extent of the damage is. Some of the moisture might have come from the water line break that saturated the ground in front of the lodge. That break has been repaired. There are other issues on the outside of the building that need to be addressed as well which are not as pressing but will have to be addressed soon. A brother also proposed that the meeting time be changed from 8 PM on the third Saturday to 7 PM on the third Saturday. The proposal will lay over until the next meeting and be voted on in May. A notice will be sent to the members. We had a good inspection on April 6. The inspection report was read and RWB Cooper gave us high marks. Congratulations to the officers for their performance and the hard work they put in to prepare for it. We did have to hold it at Goshen Lodge because of the floor and water issue. I hope to see you at the next meeting.

INSPECTION LOCATION CHANGE
Brethren, the inspection of Edenton Lodge #332 will be held on April 6 as scheduled but will be held at Goshen Lodge, 2383 St. Rt. 28, Goshen, OH 45122. We had a water main break at the lodge and until we can get everything fixed we will not have any water. Goshen Lodge has graciously made their lodge available for us to use that night. Dinner will still be at 6PM with the degree at 7PM. Pass the word to other brethren who might not see this notice.
February, 2018
Because of an error we had to elect a trustee at our February meeting. Congratulations to WB Dean Cordell for being elected. We did not have a lot of business to cover but the officers continue to hone their degree work by continuing to have practices. The last two Master Mason degrees were done well with just some minor things to still work on. We plan to have a real candidate for our inspection on April 6. Unfortunately, we did have to suspend five members for non payment of dues. In all cases there was no information that led us to believe that there was any desire for them to remain members. Let's hope that those still owing dues will respond soon or we will have to suspend more next year. Please say a prayer for the brethren of your lodge because we have some that truly need it. We will have to consider getting some gravel to add to our parking area, especially before our inspection. The trustees are looking at the problem. In the meantime, avoid the area just across the alley from the front door. Be well and we hope to see you at lodge.
January, 2018
The officers of Edenton Lodge have been practicing diligently to make sure they give our candidates the best degrees they can. It showed Jan. 27 when they did a Master Mason degree on a candidate. I feel we are ready for our inspection in that degree with only some minor tweaks. They would like to see more brethren on the sidelines when they have degree work. You can witness their work on February 10 at 7:00 PM for our next Master Mason degree. We do have a couple of brethren that need to be in your paryers, WB's Al and Pat Cloke. They are both experiencing some serious health issues at the moment. I hope to see you at the next meeting.
